Although this seems straightforward, this may mean different things to different attachment styles. The Dismissive-Avoidant, for example, needs clear communication. They get frustrated and withdraw when they are expected to read between the lines. To communicate clearly in a relationship, regardless of whether it is a friendship or a romantic relationship, begin by asking your partner what communication means to them. Also ask yourself what communication means to you.
