To avoid gaps along the edges, the rows start with a turning chain of only one stitch (instead of the usual two chains for hdc rows/rounds). This turning chain does count as the first stitch and needs to be worked in at the end of the following row. Everlasting Love This blanket is made with turned joined rounds. Instead of the usual three chains for the turning chain, only two chains are used. These two chains count as the first double crochet stitch throughout the pattern. For Color A (Whirl), start first cake from center pull and second cake from outside end. Color B (Whirlette) is used only for Border. Cosy Crochet Blankets All the Oceans Blue The Blanket is worked in rows of Moss Stitch, also known as Granite Stitch or Linen Stitch. The Border is worked in joined rounds and tassels are added to each corner. Fluttering in the Breeze The Blanket is worked in turned rows, each row using a different color. The odd-numbered rows are worked with right side facing, and even-numbered rows are worked wrong side facing. The Border is worked in right-side facing joined rounds. Crush on You The Blanket is worked in turned rows, each row using a different color. The odd-numbered rows are worked with right side facing, and even-numbered rows are worked wrong side facing. The Border is worked in right-side facing joined rounds. Rainbows in Tunisia This blanket is made using the Tunisian Simple Stitch, also known as Basic Afghan Stitch, Royal Princess Stitch, or Tricot Stitch. Each row of Tunisian Crochet consists of two passes – a forward pass (pulling up loops) and a return pass (working off the loops).
