The Didache: The Teaching of the Twelve Apostles with Text, Footnotes, Detailed Historical Manuscripts & A Study Guide. Understand Faith, Hope and Life of the Earliest Christian Communities in 50-70 C.E. Review Description The Didache is an early Christian short treatise containing instructions for Christian communities. The text was rediscovered in 1873 by Philotheos Bryennios. Greek Orthodox metropolitan of Nicomedia, in the codex from which, in 1875, he had published the full text of the Epistles of St. Clement. The title in the MS. is Didache kyriou dia ton dodeka apostolon ethesin, but before this it gives the heading Didache ton dodeka apostolon. Since then there has been many translations. The present English translation is by Roberts-Donaldson. I have put in footnotes, detailed historical manuscripts explanations and a study guide especially for Kindle Readers for easy mediatation. Product Description: The Content of Didache has 3 main sections. The main theme is the “Two Ways”, “The Way of Life and the Way of Death”. The Second part deals with Christian life lessons, fating, rituals such as baptism and eucharist Holy Communion. The Third section concentrations on the ministry. This Book was considered by some of the Church Fathers as part of the New Testament but rejected as spurious or non-canonical by others, so eventually, it was not accepted into the New Testament canon with the exception of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church "broader canon." The Roman Catholic Church has accepted it as part of the collection of Apostolic Fathers.
