Peel off the paper backing and position the appliqué onto the right side of the garment fabric. Fuse and Sew 5. Once the appliqué is positioned, press it with an iron to fuse it to the fabric. 6. Optional: Sew around the edges of the appliqué with a satin, blanket, straight, or zigzag stitch.
