This involves coming to know his essential goodness by continually returning to what he taught and how he lived. His goodness is to be a pattern for our own behavior. Jesus My Heart And so, each year when Lent arrives, we step into the season with a desire to restore and enliven our relationship with the One who is central in our hearts. The noble aspect of Jesus calls us home with restored encouragement (and inevitable challenge) to have those features of goodness more fully revealed through our personhood and daily living. Will You Accept His Invitation? Mentor of my life, I stand at the threshold of the Lenten journey, knowing I have the ability to learn from you. I can accept or decline your open invitation to abide attentively in your dwelling place. I desire to set my heart on belonging to you. Today: I accept the invitation to “come and see.”
