Are there any topics you're particularly excited to share? Absolutely, the new and improved Python/programming integration and the use cases that go along with it. I'm also excited about the Tableau Server use cases because Server really brings Tableau to life and every developer should know, and be able to use, Tableau Server (which is unfortunately not always the case). The chapter on performance too, because Optimize Performance makes it so easy to get the best version yet of dashboards. Last but not least, the data guide and especially the find and explain outlier portion are both pretty exciting too. What will readers be able to do after reading this book? Readers will be able to explain Tableau products to others, connect data to Tableau products, transform that data, and visualize and extract it when needed. They'll be able to create presentations with Tableau, use LOD and table calculations, have a bunch of datasets to play around with, and even more links to other great content to explore. They'll be able to use Tableau Desktop, Prep, and Server with ease, know how to design and tell a story, and be able to monitor and improve performance. They'll also have mastered connecting R and/or Python to Tableau to do even more fancy stuff. Finally, they'll be able to execute ML models and will have also learned about data governance and how (and why) to implement it in Tableau Server. What's new in this edition? New datasets New real-world problems and more use cases A complete redo of the performance optimization chapter All recent updates on Tableau Prep are covered A brand-new chapter on data governance An improved LOD chapter An introduction to Tableau Exchange Tableau Data Management and Governance (source: tableau.com) Mastering Tableau 2023 Mastering Tableau 2021 Chapters 16 15 Version 2023 2021 Coverage Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, Tableau Exchange Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server Approach Theory + hands-on exercises + real-world scenarios Theory + hands-on exercises
