Mrs. Entwhistle meets a discontented Amish girl, Anna May, who is looking to make some changes in her life. Maxine, Mrs. Entwhistle’s best friend, decides to turn her home into a bed and breakfast, the Amish Inn, and hires Anna May as hostess.
