Let us be like an "Abigail" and who she was to King David when he had a weak moment and was ready to make a huge mistake that would have cost him his future kingship. Abigail didn’t speak to David’s wrong attitude or actions; Abigail spoke to the king inside of David. The reaction and response from the future king to Abigail's timely word can be found in 1 Samuel 25:32-33, "David replied to Abigail, ‘Praise the LORD, the God of Israel, who has sent you to meet me; today you have saved my destiny!’” I am in no way condoning the sin or the hurt that so many men have caused women and families, but we need to do something for the future generations.
