Simple Stiches Brick Stitch This is a great stitch for covering backgrounds. It is worked by stitching on alternate rows across the canvas, creating an interlocking vertical brickwork effect. Skip Tent Stitch A tent stitch where every other stitch is skipped to create a diagonal striped effect, leaving some of the canvas exposed. A simple way to add texture.
