Bobby the Snake and the Broken TV was inspired by Melissa's 8-year-old son, Myles, and reminds children to take breaks from screens, recharge through nature, and that you can always turn a bad day around. Her new release, Squeaky Kiki, was inspired by her 5-year-old daughter Kayla ("Kiki"), and shares messages of standing up for yourself, setting boundaries, and respecting others. Melissa’s passion for creative writing has shone through her days drafting litigation briefs, her custom poetry business, Designer Rhymes, and the daily nursery rhymes she writes for her kids.
