Jessie Penn-Lewis (1861–1927) was a Welsh evangelist who was involved in the Welsh Revival during the turn of the 20th century. Following that revival, she travelled all over the globe, continuing her evangelistic work all over Europe, India, Canada, and the United States. Penn-Lewis rubbed elbows with many of the great leaders of her day, including Oswald Chambers, D.L. Moody, Evan Roberts, Andrew Murray, R.A. Torrey, A.B. Simpson, and many others. Doubtless best known for her book “War on the Saints,” she penned many other books that are certainly a blessing to readers still today.
