Notebooks are always a personal choice, so it follows that the cover should be just as personal. The Sweetness of Love: Whitework Lavender Heart Lavender hearts are romantic in concept and evocative of another age when old-fashioned romance ruled the day. This lavender heart is decorated with my version of whitework – a delicate embroidery motif for you to slow stitch onto linen. If you prefer, you can embroider it onto a finer cloth such as muslin, as the original designs would have been, but I think the marriage of linen and whitework is a lovely one. Special Gifts: Gift Tags Handmade gifts can be the simplest of things and yet the most endearing. They don’t have to be grand or absolutely perfect – they just need to be made with love. But if you really haven’t got the time to create a handmade gift from scratch, consider the wrapping and packaging. These are just as important as the gift. Handmade gift tags can make all the difference. At times, just a little handmade loveliness can turn an ordinary thought into something unique and personal.
