He served on the Board of Directors for the Redevelopment and Revenue Sharing Commission, the Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce and the Allstate Insurance Foundation. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Gonzaga University and studied at McGeorge School of Law.
