He agreed that it was a good idea, and I promptly panicked. I had expected my husband to think this was too difficult or too challenging of an undertaking. There were so many places I had stumbled in Scripture, and I worried about having the right answers for my kids. I worried about strong-arming them into reading the Bible and them resenting it. I worried that what I had found life changing they would find boring. Despite my insecurities, we gave it a go. And coming around the Bible turned out to be good. My children are curious. They have surprising perspectives and ideas I wouldn’t have discovered otherwise. Not only did we get to know the Bible and God better, we got to know each other better too.
