The Soul of Her Family is a thrilling transcription of a personal account by a young Jewish Warsaw beauty about her survival in the Warsaw Ghetto from 1939 until 1943.Shortly following her escape she enables her immediate family members inclusive of her two younger sisters, Father and Stepmother to escape and join her on the Aryan side of Warsaw. With her courage, intelligence, wit, deep faith, love, charm, humor and the help of true family friends she succeeds to keep one step ahead of the unrelenting danger of being betrayed and deported to concentration camps. She took on the persona of a Catholic, hid her family in coal bins, storage cages, attics, sub-basements. She moved with them numerous times, as soon as they sensed the slightest suspicion. With a few short lived exceptions the family never separated, they all survived except for their Stepmother. That was an extremely rare occurrence. Among the few Jewish survivors of the Shoah the great majority were the lone survivors of their families. Those who’s additional family members survived usually were unaware of it until often, long after World War II ended, in 1945.That beautiful story teller was my mother, Sabina Blondowska.
