Blue Chaco Paper MATERIALS Blue Chaco Paper Design Embossing Tool/Pencil/Ballpoint Pen Tape Damp Sponge White Chaco Paper for Dark Backgrounds This is a Chaco paper that is white instead of blue. It works the same way as blue Chaco paper, but is great for an already darkened background, the darker the better. Just like blue Chaco paper it can be easily removed with a damp cloth. Great to use over large burned areas. This is a special paper with a blue chalk on one side and it erases with just water. PRO Transfers easily like graphite paper, easily removes with damp cloth. Doesn’t stain/scar wood. Can be removed entirely. Can be used over and over again. CON Be careful not to use too much water when removing excess Chaco. It rubs off easily, so it is not great for long-term use. Can be a bit harder to see than graphite paper. Blue Chaco paper can be quite expensive. Size, cut, and tape your design onto your wood.Slide the blue Chaco paper underneath with the blue side facing the wood.Follow your design lines with a light-medium pressure using an embossing tool or a ballpoint pen.Check on the progress of the transfer by lifting a corner to peek, but do not remove the design until all has been completely transferred.If you have completed your project but there are leftover blue Chaco transfer lines, simply use a lightly damp sponge or damp towel to remove any markings. ADDING COLOR Adding color can bring a whole new dimension to a wood burned piece. Color can have a profound effect on any person who views it. By adding color, you can set a mood, invoke an emotion, draw the viewer’s attention to certain parts, and add to a piece’s overall beauty. It makes an excellent gift and I encourage you to add personalized touches. Canvas Backpack - Burning Canvas Canvas is another amazing non-wood surface to embellish with pyrography. You will find canvas material in many different forms, and adding wood burned touches to any of these canvas materials will give them that personalized touch that will step up your canvas game. It is a bit smelly to burn, and you will need to clean your wood burning tool often, but it will look cool and be totally worth it. Be sure to use safety equipment. The frames created by these borders give you a framework, (see what I did there?) to work off of and truly make your own. With these simple border designs, you can customize any wood burned piece to fit your needs. They can be used for birthdays, wedding décor, gifts, home décor, baby shower gifts, anniversaries—you get the idea. I am sure you will come up with ways to use them that I haven’t even considered! Each frame or border is just that—a frame for you to fill, personalize and embellish. The sky is the limit when I think of the possibilities of what could be added to these borders.
