Treasury of Audubon Birds 130 Plates from The Birds of America The first edition of this historic volume, completed in 1838, presented 435 large hand-colored engravings depicting more than 1,000 birds of 489 species. Later, Audubon issued a more affordable yet highly collectible octavo edition, with smaller, lithograph illustrations. Featuring the snowy egret, wild turkey, brown pelican, screech owl, and many others, this new collection includes 130 select plates from the octavo version enhanced by an informative Introduction to the artist and his work.
